Answer is as the oil's improve and meet newer car makers warranty requirements, the second letter moves up the alphabet, so SJ is a newer better ? oil thans SG. SG would be the minimum Quality oil required to meet the warranty terms if the bike was new. You would have to find some old inventory somewhere to find SG. Max
